Hearth and snail shell dump. Feature 8 is a flat hearth constructed of one burned rock layer. Approximately 75 shells of landsnails (Rabdotus sp.) are clustered in a 26x14-cm area within the hearth. Charcoal identified as yaupon yielded a conventional radiocarbon age of 2630±40 B.P.
