Close up view of the cross-section of a ritually dismantled and burned temple (one of several) found within the south part of Mound A at Ferguson. The floor of the temple is at the bottom of the picture (card 31). The temple's central hearth (card 33) was apparently covered by a mound of soil perhaps to ritually seal it before the building was carefully dismantled, burned, and then capped.
