These small fragments of charred plant remains from an open-air archeological site, sorted and identified by an archaeobotanist, could be used to obtain multiple AMS dates. If one had to choose, the acorn fragments in the upper left or the seeds in the lower right would be ideal dating samples because they were produced in a single year.
