This photo shows the magnified edge of a Perdiz arrow point recovered from the midden area of the Mustang Branch site (41HY209-M). The bundle of fibers is the remnant of binding used to haft the point to the arrow, while the small red dot is an area of blood and tissue. Such organic residues are very rarely preserved at open campsites in the region. TARL archives.
