A page from a letter written by Lipan Apaches in Mexico to Tonkawa Indians at Fort Griffin in 1869. In this page, the Lipan propose a peace meeting between the Lipan (on left) and the Fort Griffin soldiers and Tonkawas (on right). The Lipan were allowed to move to the fort, their encampment becoming the last Lipan village in Texas.
