| Robert Neighbors' gravesite. Frontiersman, soldier, and Indian agent Robert S. Neighbors faithfully served the Republic of Texas and the United States government during the 1840s and 1850s. His concern for the Indians made many enemies among white settlers. He was assassinated in 1859 and is buried in this cemetery near Fort Belknap. |
